NCRI - Blood boiling over a ceremony held on the Cyrus Day to commemorate Cyrus as well as the anti-regime slogans in the event, Mullah Noori Hamedani, one of the regime’s clerics in Qom, began complaining about the event.
In his meeting with the staff of Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, Mullah Noori Hamedani reacted sharply to gathering of a large number of Iranians in Pasargadae to mark the unofficial ‘international Cyrus Day’. “In the past few days, a group of people gathered around the tomb of Cyrus in Shiraz and chanted slogans”, he said.
Complaining about holding the Cyrus Day gathering in Pasargadae Cultural Heritage, Mullah Noori Hamedani said in a threatening tone that “despite being alive, we once again only sat and watched” and called the participants ‘counter-revolutionary’.
Noori Hamedani said: “These are a bunch of counter-revolutionary people and I wonder how they are allowed to gather in the tomb of Cyrus and chant the same slogans for Cyrus as we do for our supreme leader, and once again, despite being alive, we are only sitting and watching.”
At the end of his criticisms, the regime’s Mullah asked: “which authority has failed to fulfill its obligations so that these people could gather like this?”
It should be pointed out that thousands of Iranians from across the country gathered in Pasargadae on Friday 28 October to take part in a ceremony during which they praised Cyrus as the pride of every Iranian as well as the father and founder of the human rights. The demonstrators were chanting: “freedom of thought, not possible with beards”,” Iran is our country, Cyrus is our father”, “Mullahs’ regime, only oppression, only war”, and “forget about Syria, think about us.”
