Iran: Athena Daemi suffers GI problems during hunger strike

Imprisoned civil rights activist Athena Daemi has been suffering from kidney infection after nine days of her hunger strike.
Doctors of Evin Prison's infirmary told her on April 16 that the infection had also spread to her digestive system and was deteriorating.
Prison authorities, however, have done nothing to improve her conditions or respond to her demands.
Athena Daemi started her hunger strike on April 8, 2017, in protest to the sentence issued for imprisonment of her sisters.
