Iran: Nazanin Zaghari’s appeal for revision was turned down
Tehran's head of Justice Department announced on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, that the Appeals Court had confirmed the original sentence issued for Nazanin Zaghari.
“She had appealed for revision of her sentence… but the Appeals Court rejected the request after completing the necessary investigations. The lower court's verdict was well-documented and substantiated and was therefore upheld,” Gholam Hossein Ismaili said. (The state-run Tasnim news agency - April 26, 2017)
