Iranian MP Karimi Ghodusi threatened the campaign of President Hassan Rouhani by saying confessions made by Dori Isfahani, a member of the Iran nuclear negotiating team, will be published soon.
“Some people claimed the spying allegations against Dori Isfahani during the nuclear negotiations were lies. However, he is currently on trial for spying,” Ghodusi said on Thursday, according to state-run sources.
“A number of court sessions have been held in the Dori Isfahani trial and his confessions will be published soon,” said this member of the Iranian Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission.
“I am asking the people to write a petition calling on the judiciary to publish Dori Isfahani’s confessions,” Ghodusi emphasized.
“I believe Dori Isfahani’s confessions about behind-the-scene matters of the negotiations will be shocking,” he said.
A few months ago on 25 October 2016 the state-run ILNA news agency reported following explanations provided by Rouhani’s Minister of Intelligence, Karimi Ghodusi and two other MPs were convinced spying was not involved in the case of Dori Isfahani.
To this end, it is now obvious that this issue stated again on the verge of the presidential election, is due to the regime’s factional disputes over the election.
