Amnesty International refered to flagrant human rights abuses in Iran in its oral statement during the 37th session of the UN Human Rights Council  in Geneva  and called for an end to the  human rights abuses in Iran.
Amnesty International representative welcomed the report of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran and while listing human rights abuses, added: "Despite being a party to the Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Iranian authorities continue to use the death penalty against individuals who were under 18 at the time of the crime of which they are convicted.”
Amnesty International noted that "the lethal use of firearms by security forces against protesters, which resulted in the deaths of at least 25 people, the mass arbitrary arrests of several thousand that followed the nationwide protests in December 2017 and January 2018, and the deaths in custody of at least four individuals detained following the protests," are indicative of entrenched patterns of human rights violations in Iran.
Amnesty International  also condemned the Iranian regime’s violent and inhumane treatment of human rights defenders and women who have peacefully protested against compulsory veiling .
Amnesty International's representative also urged Iran to immediately implement the recommendations of the UN’s report on human rights situation on Iran.
