Teachers rally across Iran
Iran, PMOI/MEK, May 10, 2018 - Based on protests scheduled and called for by teachers guilds across the country, several cities across the country – Tehran, Isfahan, Kermanshah, Mashhad, Shiraz, Sari, Kazerun, Khorramabad, Momaseni, Behbahan, Saqqez and … – were scenes of such rallies against a variety of Iranian regime policies against both teachers and students.
State security forces in Tehran attacked the teachers rally in Tehran, injuring and arresting several demonstrators.
In Kermanshah teachers were seen holding a rally outside the provincial Education Dept protesting privatization policies.
In Kazerun teachers rallying outside the city Education Department were heard chanting, "Imprisoned teachers must be released.”
In Isfahan teachers were holding a rallying outside provincial Education Department and chanting, “We don't want an incompetent minister/director” and “Our wages are in rial, expenses are in US dollar.”
Activists reported state police were seen surrounding the protest site.
