Exclusive interview with President of Syrian Civil Defense

NCRI - In an exclusive interview with Simaye-Azadi TV on October 25, Raed Saleh, the President of Syrian Civil Defense, expressed his solidarity with the Iranian people in their struggle for freedom and justice while describing the problems of The White Helmets in Aleppo due to relentless bombings and an oppressive siege of the city by Assad and the Iranian regime’s deployed agents.
“Currently, Aleppo is under siege from all directions by the Iranian regime’s militias, Iraqi militias, Hezbollah and the Syrian regime’s army. As a result, the situation has deteriorated, especially after the ceasefire and the resumption of bombings. The situation of hospitals are too critical. 200 of the wounded need to be transferred for medical treatment. There is a shortage of food in the city. Our job in the Civil Defense has become even more difficult after three of our centers were attacked in airstrikes as a result of which we were forced to implement plan B in order to increase the number of volunteers and prepare the required machinery to respond to airstrikes”, said Saleh.
The President of Syrian Civil Defense added: “Actually, the international community has lost all its reputation. Chlorine gas as well as internationally banned weapons are kept being used (by Assad’s regime). Russia uses its veto right in the United Nations to stop everything. The international community is lacking the conscience to put an end to the pain and suffering of the Syrian people in general and the people of Aleppo in particular.”
“We strongly support our Iranian brothers and stand against the mass executions in Iran as well as the military operations targeting specific regions. We hope to see Iran live in freedom, justice and security”, Saleh said at the end of his interview
