Iran Regime's Hirelings in Palestine Arrested
NCRI - According to regime’s state media, a number of Iranian regime’s hirelings in Palestine have been arrested for supporting Iranian regime’s crimes during the Aleppo massacre.
The state news agency Entekhab has cited Al-Monitor as saying that “the Lebanese Al-Akhbar newspaper, close to Hezbollah, has reported that Hamas’ security forces in Gaza have interrogated a number of political figures who had announced their support of controlling Aleppo by Assad and Iranian (regime’s) forces. One of these figures is the head of Al-Sabirin group ‘Hashem Salem’ who supported recapturing of Aleppo, congratulating Hezbollah and the Syrian army for their control over the city.”
“Iranian regime’s relations with Hamas darkened following the Syrian civil war, especially after the clashes in Aleppo in early December 2016 which led to retaking the city from the rebels. Hamas issued a statement on December 14, announcing that a genocide has taken place in Aleppo”, writes Al-Monitor.
Hamas’ Foreign Minister ‘Usama Hamdan’ told Al-Monitor that the Palestinians in Gaza feel connected with what happened in Aleppo. Many in Hamas’ political bureau have also commented on the situation in Aleppo. Hamas’ leader Khaled Mashal had said that his organization expresses sympathy with Aleppo. A day earlier, Mahmoud al-Zahar, had called the events in Aleppo a disaster.
In addition to these oppositions with the Iranian regime, the Institute for Palestinian Studies which has close relations with Hams, held a rally in Gaza in support of people of Aleppo. Similar protest rallies were also held by Hamas’ Women Movement in Gaza. Hamas also cancelled its annual summit in Lebanon as a sign of solidarity with Aleppo.
