NCRI - Mr. James Bezan, the Canadian MP, stated that he would support the grand assembly of the Iranian Resistance. In a letter dated June 2017.
His message is as follows:
Greetings,
I am James Bezan, a Canadian MP and conservative defense critic. I would like to congratulate all those who participate in this year's Free Iran Conference. I also want to thank everyone for the support of the National Council of Resistance of Iran and the work that is being done by all Iranians.
As it is known, Rouhani and the Iranian regime carry out horrific human rights violations on a daily basis, often at the expense of the most vulnerable sectors of society. People who want to live their lives peacefully are deprived of their human rights by corrupt officials who want the power in Iran. Security officials continue to oppress freedom of expression and dissatisfaction, and revolutionary courts issue severe penalties against social network users, including death sentences.
Iranian authorities have also detained dozens of human rights activists and activists for their peaceful and professional activities. Unfortunately, Iran is a world leader in restricting freedom of expression. Iran continues to violate religious freedom and those who are not willing to execute strict Islamic orders or persecution of religious minorities throughout the country.
Now is a sensitive time in Iranian history. The Canadian government will hold these corrupt officials accountable. The secretary of state has indicated that he will support our bill, the Conservative Opposition, S226 bill, the bill of justice for the victims of corrupt officials, often called the Sergei Magnitsky Act. The bill is part of an international effort to put economic sanctions on corrupt officials who use their power to violate human rights.
I regularly participate in Iran’s parliamentarian weekly audit. This non-partisan weekly meetings reviews, considers human rights violations in Iran, highlight the nuclear ambitions and continued support for terrorism around the world.
Once again, I thank your support for a free and democratic Iran in which human rights will ultimately be respected by all.
And, you can count on my support for a freeIran.
