Protest Rally By Families Of Victims Of Tehran-Yasuj Air Crash In Iran
Iran, April 22. 2018 - On Saturday, April 21st, the families of the Tehran-Yasuj air crash victims gathered in Tehran in protest to the slow reconnaissance of the bodies and the failure to identify the cause of the incident by Iran authorities.
Despite the fact that 2 months have passed since the incident, the exact cause of the incident is still unclear and all the blame and problems have been pointed towards the pilots, who are also the victims of the incident.
The families of the victims also gathered in front of the Red Crescent Peace Corps on April 15th. In reports released from family protests, a person who lost four of his family members in the incident says that when the incident occurred, our golden days were lost, there was no coordination between the crisis headquarters and the Red Crescent; local forces And the climbers wanted to get into operation, but they were not allowed and the search for bodies took so long that we were worried that the air would warm up and the bodies would suffer more damage.
He criticized the Red Crescent directors, saying: “Managers should distance themselves from sitting behind the table and presenting symbolic actions; if the bodies were at the end of the street, we could easily find and collect too. The relief forces and their search tasks are for difficult conditions. We think that their equipment is poor and they should have more coherent programs.
A father of one of the victims said: “Many families, in addition to the death of their loved ones in an air crash, had strokes due to this unfortunate news. We asked the authorities to abandon the political games, stop showing off and do more to speed the process”.
