FORTY YEARS AFTER ESTABLISHMENT OF CLERICAL REGIME, WHY SHOULD THE WORLD SUPPORT THE IRANIAN RESISTANCE?
By INU Staff
INU- There is a dangerous virus spreading around the world rapidly, a far more dangerous and deadly virus than Ebola. As the world was united in the fight against Ebola and resources were directed to find anti-dote to this deadly virus, the whole world should be united in the fight against the deadly virus of Islamic Fundamentalism and the terror machine it feels.
Mohammad Mohaddessin, the Chairman of NCRI’s Foreign Affairs Committee, in a book that was first published in 1993, ‘Islamic Fundamentalism the New Global Threat’, pointed to the emergence of this virus that gained its deadly characteristics with the rise of Khomeini to power in 1979, when the resources of the rich country of Iran became fuel for spreading the deadly virus across the whole of Iran, then the Middle East region and later Europe and the wider world.
Seven Locks Press, the publisher of the book wrote a note at the beginning of the second publication just after the 9/11/2001 events. Publisher’s Note:
As a result of the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, Seven Locks Press has decided to reissue Islamic Fundamentalism with a new introduction and an updated appendix. Radical Islamic fundamentalism is a force the world must reckon with as we enter the twenty-first century. As always, our best weapon in these difficult times is knowledge and education, allowing us to find a solution to this volatile global issue. I hope that this book will shed some light on the chain of events that led to the tragedies in New York and Washington D.C.
It is clear the knowledge about the threat existed years before the threat was materialized in Europe and America. Some commentators dismissed the importance of the book and the relevance of its title, the global threat, after its first publication in 1993. However the events that followed proved that the warning was not out of place.
Now all over Europe and America, we are faced with this volatile issue. Many try to associate the threat with ISIS, a Sunni version of Islamic Caliphate that Khomeini established in Iran after the 1979 revolution. Some have been fooled by the title Khomeini was forced to pick for his version of Islamist State, ‘the Islamic Republic of Iran’. He had to choose this name due to the awareness of the people of Iran who had just ousted a modern dictator. Iran’s Islamist State has never been a genuine ‘Republic’ since the country is run by a self-appointed ‘Supreme Leader’ or Caliph who calls himself Ayatollah (Sign of God) and believes that he represents God on earth and all earthy creatures and beings are under his command.
Knowing that this interpretation of a ‘Republic’ would not be accepted by the highly educated and progressive people of Iran, Khomeini ordered the establishment of a repressive apparatus called the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), to protect his version of Islamist State against the people of Iran.
And later he created the Quds (Jerusalem) division within the IRGC for exporting his ‘revolution’ to the rest of the world with the specific aim of capturing Jerusalem for the mullahs. His slogan of ‘conquering Jerusalem via Karbala’ (holy city south of Baghdad), is still observable in graffiti on the walls across Iran. Very quickly Khomeini realized that the main enemy of his Caliphate is inside Iran. The People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI or MEK for its Persian acronym), headed by Masoud Rajavi, led the campaign against the establishment of religious tyranny and after his famous speech in Tehran’s football stadium, Amjadieh, in June 1980, Khomeini directed his uniformed thugs against the MEK.
Thousands of MEK supporters were arrested and dozens were killed during attacks by IRGC thugs on their canvassing and political campaigns before June 20th, 1981 mass demonstration organized by the MEK to protest consolidation of power in the hands of Khomeini and his reactionary mullahs.
On that day Khomeini ordered to shoot at demonstrators with live bullets. Hundreds were killed and thousands were arrested and the reign of blunt and naked terror started that night. Dozens of young protesters were executed even before their identities was established.
Khomeini was right, the MEK threatened his rule by challenging his demagoguery and the roots of his misinterpretation of Islam, the religion of a prophet nicknamed ‘Love of God’ and ‘the Mercy of Both Worlds’. How can the atrocities committed by ISIS and its godfather, ISIIS (Islamist State of Iran, Iraq and Syria), as I like to call the regime ruling Iran, be attributed to the prophet who came to bring the love of God for humanity.
After 40 years of appeasement and kowtowing to the threats of terrorism by the Iranian regime time has come for the world to stand with MEK and the resistance coalition NCRI.
The world must support the Jeffersonian principles, as called by General James Jones, the 10 point plan of Mrs Maryam Rajavi, the President Elect of NCRI for a transition period. This is a prerequisite for any peace in the Middle East and a safer world.
