NCRI - According to reports, political prisoner Mohammad Ali Taheri in the forty-first day of a hunger strike, in a letter addressing prison henchmen announced: “I will continue the hunger strike until I die or obtain freedom.”
Although he was taken to Baqiatollah hospital following deterioration of his health due to the hunger strike, he did not break his strike after prison officials transferred him back to Evin prison’s ward 2 and denied him any family visit.
His deteriorating physical health since September 28 after he staged a hunger strike to protest against officials preventing his release despite issuance of a non-prosecution warrant is described as critical.
Meanwhile, a number of people gathered in front of state-run Hamshahri (Citizen) newspaper office on Tuesday November 8 to support Mohammad Ali Taheri and protest against the false article this newspaper published (against Mr. Taheri)…
The demonstrators held a placard which read: “Boycott Hamshahri newspaper for publishing lies and false article.”
