Iran Regime's Fearful and Despicable Reaction After Australia Delists MEK

NCRI - After Australia delisted the Iranian Resistance and completely removed the names of the People’s Mojahedin Organization of Iran (PMOI/MEK) and the Resistance’s umbrella group, the National Council of Resistance of Iran (NCRI), from its list of terrorist organizations, the Iranian regime, terrified of the turning situation after the US elections, while expressing regret about Australia’s delisting the PMOI, is desperately attempting to undo what is done and turn the situation.
In this regard, official site of the Iranian regime’s parliament wrote: “Ian Biggs, Australia’s ambassador to Tehran, on Monday December 26, met and spoke with Mahmoud Sadeghi, head of the parliamentary friendship group of the Islamic Republic of Iran and Australia.”
According the parliament’s website, the head of parliamentary group referring to the recent crises in the region reiterated: “The Middle East region is facing unbridled activities of terrorist groups and the Islamic Republic’s approach has always been international confrontation with the presence of these groups in all countries.”
“Sadeghi then regretted dual approach of the West toward terrorist groups and reiterated that removal of the terrorist groups with a history of terrorism form the list of terrorist organizations is not consistent with the western countries’ claim to fight terrorism,” the source added.
The Iranian regime’s obscene claims about the fight against terrorism and their fearful reaction and despicable attempt to mend the broken eggs and to undo what was rightfully done by Australia albeit with delay is despite the fact that many officials and military commanders of the regime including IRGC commanders are blacklisted and the regime is recognized by the west and many other countries as the largest state sponsor of international terrorism and while the regime’s terrorist Quds force and affiliated militias and terrorist groups were and are involved in the carnage in Syria and other Middle East countries and as well as terrorist activities across the world.
