NCRI - The Kuwaiti newspaper al-Rai al-Aam on 6th December 2016 reported that the Sudanese government is taking the last steps to fully break off diplomatic relations with the Iranian regime. The Sudanese government also ended its lease with the building of its embassy in Tehran and all assets of the embassy were sold, the report said. There are no further prospects of restoring these facilities.
On the other hand, the embassy of the Iranian regime in Khartoum is shut down and a paper with a red stamp is hung on its door, the report said. The embassy is now also under protection. It is worth noting that Sudan broke off its diplomatic relations with the Iranian regime in order to show its protest against the attack on the Saudi Embassy in Tehran.
