The Iranian regime is beginning to destroy the graves of 1988 massacre victims in a number of cities across the country in order to destroy more evidence of this carnage.
After the 1988 massacre was raised during the presidential election when even President Hassan Rouhani attacked at his rival, currently the regime sees no other option but to destroy such graveyards.
Rouhani had said his rival is an individual who knows nothing but execution and prison. Known as the “Massacre Ayatollah”, Ebrahim Raisi was a member of the “Death Commission” back in 1988 who decided the fate of any prisoner remaining steadfast on their position.
In Neishabour, northeast Iran, the graveyard of these victims has been placed outside of a cemetery and no gravestone has been left for these victims.

The National Council of Resistance of Iran issued a statement condemning and describing such measures as the regime’s response to “the movement for justice for martyrs of the massacre of political prisoners” gains momentum inside Iran and at the international level.
“The Iranian Resistance calls on international human rights organizations, particularly the High Commissioner for Human Rights and the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in Iran, to condemn this inhuman act and take immediate action to prevent the destruction of evidence and the traces of mass executions and mass killings of political prisoners in 1988. Criminals ruling Iran, who have 120 thousand political executions on their record, must face justice for crimes against humanity,” the statement reads.
