NCRI - A member of the board of directors in the Economic Commission of the Parliament, stressed that the Iranian parliament must demystify, the dramatic difference in the reports of oil revenues from 2008 to 2012.
The state run Shargh Daily News, reported, Hosseini Shahroudi as stating:"regarding the oil revenues from 2008 to 2012, a number of different reports have been presented by the Ministry of Petroleum, the ministry of Economic Affairs and Finance as well as the Management and Planning Organization of Iran (MPO) and also the ministry of Treasury.
He further added due to the glaring discrepancy in these reports, the parliament and the Integration Commission for the Budget of 2017, decided to create a working group.
Hosseini Shahroudi referred to the output of oil revenues deposited in the Treasury between 2008 and 2012 and stated:"we have to see whether the former government carried out its duty on the oil revenues or not? If there are violations on depositing oil revenues to the Treasury, the responsible authorities will be brought to justice. Nevertheless, we hope that there has been a mistake in the calculation of figures. Unfortunately, the difference is so huge that a serious transparency and demystification process is required."
