Prince Turki Al-Faisal: There's No Single Day in Which Iran Regime Has Proved It Is Pacifist

Chairman of the Center for Research and Islamic Studies ‘Prince Turki al-Faisal’ has maintained that the Iranian regime has failed to prove even for a single day that it’s seeking peace and cooperation.
Bahrain’s Alayam newspaper has quoted al-Faisal as saying that “what is being seen is an increased intervention (by Iranian regime) in the affairs of the countries in the region as well as hostile remarks by regime’s leaders. They say they’ve taken control of four capitals of Arab countries and that 200 thousand of their military personnel are now deployed in Arab world and Baghdad is the historical capital of Persia.”
On Iranian regime’s intervention in Syria, Turki al-Faisal said that “the country(Syria) was faced with a war with the Iranian regime which is using armed militias as well as the revolutionary guard for this purpose. Nearly 500 thousand Syrians were killed over the past five years.”
He pointed out that “the Iranian regime has directly participated in what has happened in Syria. They are responsible for the killing and displacement of Syrian people, so that close to 6 million Syrians have been forced to flee their country with 2.5 million of which being admitted by Saudi Arabia. And it should be noted that these figures don’t reflect millions of people who have fled to Syria’s neighboring countries or to Europe.”
“There is no limit to the amount of Iranian regime’s greed as they’re going to take control of the entire world”, added Chairman of the Center for Research and Islamic Studies.
Al-Faisal said that “you can’t ignore the Iranian regime’s actions toward the countries in the region and keep cooperating with it on other issues.”
He emphasized that he’s pointing directly to the Iranian regime and not the Iranian people as there are many popular relations between us and the Iranian people which should be regarded as the starting point for future agreements.
