Iran: Khomeini’s grandson sets off the alarm on the collapse of the regime
Iran, March 12, 2018 - Khomeini’s grandson, Hassan Khomeini, reviled his fear of the collapse of the Ayatollah's dictatorship. In an interview with the Islamic Revolutionary Guard (IRGC) news agency, Fars, he discussed the threats and said: “we have a growing economically deprived class in the society that their demand is not political. They are frustrated and disappointed at the government. If we don’t solve the economic failures, two phenomena will appear in the horizon: either the collapse of the system, or emerging a populist government which is harsh and authoritarian. This would be an oppressive government, but demagogue in nature in the short term.”
“The gap between social imbalances has been widened, and daily protests across the country show essential failures that can make a crisis if not remedied.” He added.
