Iran Regime Interior Minister: 250 thousand people in Zahedan live with the facilities of 100 years ago

NCRI - The Interior Minister of Rouhani’s administration admitted that some 250 thousand people are living in the areas 10 minutes away from Zahedan (capital of Sistan & Baluchistan province) with facilities, conditions and living standards of 100 years ago.
According to the Iranian regime’s IRIB Broadcasting (Radio & Television), Abdolreza Rahmani Fazli made the remarks on Monday, October 24 in the "Fourth Conference of the Country’s Scientific Development and Progress.”

However, the Interior Minister did not mention the name of the nearby city or the area and many Iranian state-run news agencies did not publish this part of his speech.
He also said that two army divisions are stationed in Sistan and Baluchistan province to “provide security and compensate for the imbalance” while the cost of maintaining these two divisions is “twice as what is needed (to handle all other affairs of the province).”
According to statistics, Sistan & Baluchistan province in terms of many factors is in difficult and disadvantageous condition.
Last February, Nasser Kashani, representing Zahedan in the regime’s parliament, announced that the province is “ranked last in all aspects of development (development indexes).”
Moreover, Mehdi Tabatabai, health deputy of Zahedan’s medical sciences university, announced that Sistan and Baluchistan is one of the three Iranian provinces in terms of “very insecure food situation” and about one-fifth of the children under the age of five in the province are experiencing problems of atrophy, low weight and dwarfism.
According to the 2006 census, of the two million and 350 thousand population of Sistan & Baluchistan province, more than 640 thousand people are illiterate.
